NIMASA Triumphs as Maritime Cup Heats Up in Lagos 

 

The 2025 Ships & Ports Maritime Cup tournament delivered another thrilling round of fixtures on Friday as the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency ended the week in commanding fashion, defeating LTT Coastal and Marine Services 3–0 in their seventh Group B match at the NIS Pitch of the National Stadium in Surulere.

The victory further cements NIMASA’s reputation as one of the tournament’s most competitive sides, reflecting the agency’s long-running tradition of strong showings in the annual championship.

Also in the seventh Group A encounter, Dangote Port Operations stunned spectators by holding the highly rated Micura Services Ltd to a 2–2 draw.

The result, unexpected by many followers of the tournament, has added a fresh twist to the group standings and intensified the race for qualification.

Both matches drew a record turnout, with supporters filling the stands and generating the vibrant atmosphere that has come to characterise the Maritime Cup, a tournament that has grown steadily since its inception into one of the most anticipated sporting events within Nigeria’s maritime sector.
