The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) yesterday booked their place in the final match of the ongoing 7th Ships & Ports Maritime Cup Competition.
The final match will be played at 4pm tomorrow at the NIS Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
ANLCA, which is participating in the competition for the first time, booked their place in the final matc yesterday by defeating former champions, Micura Stevedoring Services 1-0 in the first semi-final match of the competition.
ANLCA emerged leaders of Group A with seven points after defeating sister association, the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) 2-1; played a goalless draw with Sifax Group and defeated Nigeria Customs Service 3-0 in their group matches.
The Nigeria Customs Service won their semi-final match against the Nigerian Ports Authority 5-4 through penalty shoot-out.
Three times champion Customs emerged as Group A runner up with six points.
NCS fell 0-3 to ANLCA, defeated defending champion NAGAFF 3-0 and Sifax Group 4-0.
The final match of the competition will be played at 4pm tomorrow Friday 15th May 2015 while the thrid place match between Nigerian Ports Authority and Micura will be played at 2pm. Both matches will be played at the NIS Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
